State Representative Lucy Dathan named to co-chair new committee

Connecticut House Speaker Matt Ritter has named Rep. Lucy Dathan, 142nd District, as co-chair of a new government oversight committee. Citing her background as an auditor and CFO, Ritter said Dathan will add “incredible insight to this new committee.”

In a statement on being named to the committee, Dathan said: “Together, we will work to strengthen trust and deliver results for the people we serve by ensuring transparency and effective oversight of our government affairs.”

While the committee’s exact scope of responsibilities will be developed once the General Assembly goes into session Jan. 8, the new panel’s objective is to review and respond independently to state auditor findings.
