Savet Constantine seeks 42nd District seat

Savet Constantine, who has lived in Wilton since 2004 with her husband and two children, announced her candidacy for House District 42.  The district covers parts of New Canaan and Ridgefield and Wilton. She started her local activity volunteering two decades ago working in the schools and rose to president of the town’s parent teacher association.

Constantine holds a masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. She strongly believes in democratic values and connecting with people.  Working with Dems and Republicans is very important, she believes, and lists her priorities as education and elder care. If elected, she’ll fill the seat of Democrat Keith Denning, who has decided not to seek re-election.

As reported in Good Morning Wilton, Constantine said: “My own father arrived in this country from Greece with $50 in his pocket and was able to build a life for our family. We need a return to the American Dream that he enjoyed. We must also keep up the defense of reproductive freedoms, continue cutting taxes, and fight against sweeping, unnecessary mandates from Hartford. Local decisions should always be made locally.”
