Savet Constantine named to high profile committees

A new member of the General Assembly, Savet Constantine has been named to be vice chair of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and will be a member of the Education and Energy and Technology committees. The Finance committee oversees tax issues and bonding for capital projects, Education, as is self-explanatory, handles legislation policy related to the states schools and the Energy & Technology will be front and center on what has become a key concern, high utility bills. As a new member, Constantine says she is looking forward to being sworn in, but has already been busy with a full schedule of committee meetings, caucuses and meeting with local officials to hear their concerns and priorities.
