Rep. Dathan Legislative Update

Rep. Lucy Dathan reported that the Human Services and Government Oversight Committee, which she chairs, had two productive meetings in moving important legislation forward toward consideration in the House. “While there’s still more work ahead, it’s a great feeling to have this committee phase behind us,” Dathan said.

“Both committees are made up of dedicated members who are focused on ensuring that strong, effective policy makes it over the finish line,” she continued. “I’m incredibly grateful for the support of our nonpartisan staff — they’ve been instrumental in helping us move legislation through. I’m also fortunate to have a fantastic team on the partisan side, including our clerk and key policy folks, whose efforts have made this process run smoothly.”

Appropriations Committee work is still in full swing as it works toward finalizing the committee budget in the coming weeks.
