Volunteer with us for 2023 Election!

Different Volunteer Opportunities Available

1. Go door knocking with a candidate! Or drive a candidate.
Want to join a candidate for door knocking - They will lead the way with the conversation!  In an effort to meet and listen to the concerns of our neighbors, friends and voters, would you be willing to accompany a candidate, and introduce them to your neighborhood?

2. Write a letter to the editor (LTE) of our local papers (New Canaanite, New Canaan Advertiser, New Canaan Sentinel)
Write a letter of support to our local papers.  This is an awesome and powerful way to voice your support for our slate or a specific candidate.  If this is of interest to you, we can connect you with the organizers of this effort and they will provide a deadline and foolproof instructions on "how to write an LTE".

3. Host a coffee or cocktails for your neighbors & friends
The key to this campaign is reaching as many New Canaanites as possible to tell them about the campaign and listen to their concerns.  Would you be willing to invite neighbors/friends over so Josh, Brenden and Lauren can meet them and hopefully earn their vote?

4. Take a shift in headquarters
Work in the headquarters - texting or phone calling voters? Work on absentee ballots (making sure our college students vote)?

5. Lawn Signs
Would you be willing to host a lawn sign at your house? Do you know a friend that might also host a lawn sign? Collect lawn signs before election day, set up at voting polls.

6. Make phone calls, text bank, or write postcards
Make campaign phone calls, text or write postcards: either in HQ, in the comfort of your home, or gather some friends and family and host a phone call/text bank party.

7. Donate to the campaign
Any amount of financial support will help us reach more New Canaanites to hopefully earn their votes!  With your donation we can print more signs, walk cards, poll cards, postcards and cover Election Day expenses. Any amount means a great deal!

8. Email/Text your friends, neighbors, fellow New Canaanites
Maybe you have a new neighbor, or you made a new connection recently - would you be willing to tell your network about this very important election? We’re happy to help you create an email or text message if you like!

9. Volunteer on election dat
Set-up and break-down polling stations. Sign up for a shift at the polls, bring coffee and snacks for poll workers and voters.

8. Election Day – Tuesday, November 7th – Make plans to vote ASAP
Save this date, don't be late, and if you or a family/household member are not in town on 11/7/2023, vote before you leave town by going in person to Town Hall OR by requesting an Absentee Ballot.  Need help? Let us know!
