Himes and Murphy point out military leak’s dangers

Rep. Jim Himes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee was on Fox News underscoring how the Trump Administration’s recent use of an encrypted but open communication service in discussing plans for a military operation could have endangered personnel. It’s a point supported by numerous high ranking former officers. The Fox News interviewer disagreed, but Himes remained on firm ground. Watch HERE

Sen. Chris Murphy also commented in an email shortly after the leak was revealed. “This leak cannot be a one-day story. It encapsulates so much about why this Administration is so dangerous,” he wrote. “It matters because you are seeing a level of gross incompetence that I don’t know if we’ve ever witnessed in government before.”
